In 2019, Boston Magazine named Strega as “the Best Place to Spot a Celeb in the city.” In the years since, our guestbook of famous clientele has only gotten bigger. From hosting Mariah Carey to NBA All-Star Stephen Curry, our dining room remains as one of the top places in Boston to chow down with A-Listers. Below, we compiled a list of some of our favorite guests who have stopped by over the years. Read more below!
Anthony Davis:
Earlier this year, Dallas Mavericks superstar Anthony Davis stopped by Strega while the Mavericks were in town. Davis, who is a regular when he’s in Boston, ordered his usual: an off-menu shrimp parmigiana.
Mariah Carey:
Last winter, all Mariah wanted for Christmas was…Italian food. After her “Merry Christmas One And All!” performance at TD Garden, Carey stopped by our restaurant for some grub. (We’re not sure what she ordered, but we are sure it was tasty.)
Post Malone:
In 2018, the rapper-turned-country singer came to Strega. A year later, during his “Runaway” tour, he returned and ordered our signature chicken parmigiana, which features a thick chicken cutlet, fresh basil, and pomodoro sauce from Italy.
Ed Sheeran:
The Irish singer is a frequent diner with us. In 2024, while in town for Boston Calling, Sheeran visited us in the North End. As our owner, Nick Varano, told Yahoo, “He had a little bit of everything,” noting that Sheeran ate everything from gamberoni alla calabrese, meatball, and tenderloin pizza to Fettuccine Strega, lamb chops, and pollo parmagiana.” Sheeran’s table also ordered our tableside cacio e pepe.
Rihanna:
During her trips to Strega, Rihanna has ordered our spaghetti bolognese and our petite filet steak.
Jayson Tatum:
After the Celtics won the 2024 NBA Finals, Jayson Tatum stopped by Strega to celebrate with fans. According to Eater, Tatum bought everyone a round of shots. A few nights earlier, Joe Mazzulla had also stopped by, bearing the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy in hand.
